The Skyview High School vocal Music Parents Association exists to support the Skyview Choir Programs. The parents of the choir students volunteer as boosters to raise funds to offset the expenses of the choir: stage attire, travel costs, etc .

Boosters also volunteer their time to chaperone at away concerts and competitions and provide rides to those endeavors. Their efforts are also needed to sell refreshments at choir concerts at Skyview and ushering at these concerts.

The 5th annual Dinner Auction at the Heathman Lodge on November 14, 2009 is the boosters' biggest fundraiser of the year. Donated items from supporters in the community are auctioned off in both an oral and silent auction. It is a great event to enjoy a wonderful dinner and get great bargains while supporting your students.

The choirs depend on each and every voice; the boosters depend on each and every parent. So please be generous with the support of your time and your efforts.

VOLUNTEER OPPROTUNITIES
The Skyview High School Vocal Music Association is always looking for parents and supporters to be involved in all aspects of supporting the choir program and our students.

All volunteers who work directly with the students need to fill out a Washington State Patrol Background Check form (PDF) and turn it into the Skyview Front Office for processing.

Specifically we are looking for people to fill the volunteer pool for the following:

Selling Refreshments at the Concerts
Helping with Fund Raising
Ushering at the Concerts

Driving Students to Off School Performances

Chaperones
